We are residents of Essex and have a deep love and appreciation for our home, and its history.
The Mill in Essex, MA provides the people of Cape Ann and visitors with breakfast, lunch and prepared foods TO GO.

We opened our doors on February 29, 2020 (two weeks before the pandemic) and are grateful to still be here. Opening a store has been a dream of ours for some time. We named our store “The Mill” because the site is the former home to an old cider mill. We wanted to pay homage to those who’ve come before us, who have done their part to shape the community and make us proud to call Essex, with all of its natural beauty, our home.
We are so lucky to have wonderful family, friends and neighbors who have told others about us, who have shared and liked our social media posts, and who have served as sounding boards and cheerleaders along the way. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We are excited to have found our home in Essex.
Thank you, Josh and Caitlin
